Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the two E-Logic objects for the 319RSM?

The 319RSM has two E-Logic objects; one with an analogue output, and one with a digital output. The analogue output object can be used with all versions of the 319RSM and reports the measured value of the sender. The digital output object requires a 319RSM with firmware version 2.05 or later. This version allows you to configure analogue set-points for the measured value of the sender which will determine the output state of the object. Because this object has a digital output, it uses fewer E-Plex addresses than the analogue version.

Why when I Press "Calibrate for Full" do I get an error message?

A bug has been found in build 1.9.6 3266 where by the multiplier value calculated is to large. To temporarily resolve this apply the following formula to the number of counts shown when the tank is full. 1000/Full tank counts. Example at 630 counts we get 1000/630=1.58. Enter the value in the box labelled “Multiplier”, and press “Manual Set”. The calibrate for empty functions correctly and inserts the correct value in the Zero offset box.

How do I detect LED lamp failure using this module?

Please see the following page: Detecting LED Lamp Failure.

How do I invert the measurement on the 319RSM? How do I change the 319RSM from a resistive measurement to a voltage measurement?

Both of these features can be found in the unique properties of the module. Right-click on the module in the design, and select Unique Properties… from the window that appears.
